Sweet Renaissance Coffee Academy was founded by Dogwood Coffee Co. in collaboration with The Get Down Coffee Co. in 2024. Sweet Ren is a 30-hour paid residency program that trains individuals in barista skills and coffee knowledge. The residency program was created for anyone who is a part of an underrepresented community or population. Coffee is a beverage enjoyed around the world, and we think the industry should reflect the many different people & cultural groups that create & consume coffee.
