We taste concord grape & sweet cream
La Llamarada is named after the El Malinche Tree, also known as Flamboyant, a majestic fiery red tree that grows in Nicaragua. When the first rains fall, the El Malinche's tree blooms. The trees regenerate and the nature of the coffee lands becomes a natural spectacle of changing colors and hues.
The coffee producers in Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua are truly committed to investing in their farms, improving quality, and developing a better standard of living for themselves and their communities.
In Nueva Segovia, the expertise of local farmers combined with optimal growing conditions have led to the production of high-quality coffee and diversification through different processes such as honey and natural, which are in high demand. Thus, the local coffee industry creates jobs and income for local people, supporting the local economy and contributing to its growth.
The washed coffees are pulped the same day, fermented for 24-26 hours in concrete tanks, and then washed 2-3 times to remove all mucilage. Depending on the distance to the delivery warehouse, producers deliver the coffee as semi-dry or wet parchment to slowly dry for 15 days.
We are offering both the washed process and natural process of this coffee. Try them side by side to note the difference the process makes!
